  1. Thanks for sharing the Thailand itinerary for 12 days. It’s a good amount of time to explore the country. I still haven’t been down to Southern Thailand, so you’ve given me some great ideas for future sightseeing opportunities.

  2. This is quite a comprehensive itinerary for Thailand. Includes almost about everything you need to see in the country. And quite helpful for people who do not have the time to plan their itineraries.

  3. Whoa! That’s a lot of cool things to do in 12 days. Thailand is one of the countries we plan to visit during our SEA trip. Most probably, we won’t be able to visit everything here, but we’ll check which activities we can do. Are there outdoor activities (e.g. rock climbing, scuba diving, etc.) that we could incorporate in this itinerary?

  4. This is a packed itinerary, but it’s for senior citizens?! I guess it depends on the age of the mature traveler, but this is a lot even for me, and I’m not nowhere near senior lol! It’s a packed itinerary with plenty great things to do!

  5. The sunset tour would definitely be a must. We of course would want to see as many temples as we could. You can pretty much sign us up for anything on a boat. We love being on the water.

  6. Sounds like you covered everything one needs to cover on Thailand! It was one of the first countries I ever visited when I began to travel and we added Pattaya and Phuket to our list but skipped Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai, which is a pity because I didn’t know then how lovely these two cities are, especially the temples! I plan to go back some day for those. Such a pity that Maya Bay is shut for tourists now.

  7. Thailand is amazing. I was particularly delighted with her northern part, Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai. Bangkok is also a great city; I like its modern architecture. I haven’t been to Krabi and Phi Phi, yet. I like your itinerary. It seems to be feasible.

  8. I’ve always heard so many great things about Thailand. Hopefully, I can visit there someday. I want to explore Bangkok and see all the beautiful temples. Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai sounds like a great place to visit too.

  9. Though I’m not a senior citizen (not yet anyway!), this is a great itinerary for travelers in this age group. Thailand has some wonderful sights to see, and this breaks it down into manageable stages. The sunset tour of the 7 islands is something I’d love to see myself!

  10. Although I have been to Thailand twice before there is so much more that’s still left to explore. I am saving this wonderful itinerary which looks absolutely well planned and covering all must things to do and places to visit. Very helpful post.

  11. Great post!! I guess there should be more post about senior citizens as most senior citizens who travel don’t fit the criteria which are mostly written for travelers who are between 20-40. While traveling around Thailand I have notice that Thailand receives a lot of tourist ever day and most of them are retired people in their late 50’s. I loved your list and all the recommendations are perfect places to visit while traveling in Thailand.

  12. Gorgeous images!!! I love how the itinerary is mapped out simply and it looks as though everything is well planned out. I would love to explore the temples of Chiang Rai and meet the pandas. I imagine New Years Eve in Bangkok would be amazing. The price is great as well. Definitely a trip of a lifetime

  13. Have been to Thailand twice but yet to explore the Northern parts. Would love to take the cruise and Chiang rai is so high on my list. You had an amazing 12 days in Thailand it seems. Have bookmarked the page, would refer back when we plan a trip to Thailand 🙂

  14. Thank you for sharing your itinerary, I think that I’d be most interested from your Day 5 onwards. The location used to film ‘The Beach’ looks stunning in the film and in photos but I’ve heard it’s since been spoiled by tourism. Other key things that took my interest was the Chiang Mai Night Bazaar and seeing pandas! What a wonderful time you must have had!
