Wow, this is such a comprehensive itinerary with expected budget for the whole 6 days of trip in Netherlands. I’ve been dreaming to visit Netherlands since before, but I haven’t gotten a chance yet, and hopefully soon, I can traipse my feet here. I as well recommend this itinerary to my friends, especially for that those that are planning to visit Netherlands soon. Thank you so much for sharing this with us.
Sure Ariel. I am sure you can easily plan for Netherlands and frame out budget. It is nicely doable.
I think you can endlessly go around the channels in Holland and see their tall houses jammed together and stop at cafeterias. I miss my time there.
Yes, Holland is so beautiful!
That is such a reasonable price for 6 days! I never knew what it would cost to explore the Netherlands and this is a perfect itinerary to keep it within my budget. And the Texel lighthouse looks so picturesque!
Texel lighthouse was a highlight of our trip.
This is a perfect itinerary for staying 6 days in the Netherlands. I am enjoying your itinerary articles please keep them coming.
Thanks Jane!
This must have been an amazing experience! I think staying on a hostel boat would be very interesting and unique. I would love to travel to the Netherlands one day!
Sure Kristy, I wish you do.
Ahhh Holland, what a beautiful part of the world. So great that you were able to spend 6 days travelling for just 700 EUR per person. Sounds like a great itinerary and you did manage to cover quite a lot of Holland in just 6 days.
Thanks Soraya, it is not difficult to stay economical if you plan early.
I went to the Netherlands, but only for 24 hours! I’d love to go back and visit for a longer period of time and experience some of the things you wrote about – especially Rotterdam!
Next time, you should spend at least a week there.
Honestly, I thought it would be more than 700 EURO to spend 6 days in the Netherlands. Seems like you covered the must-see for first timers also in your itinerary. Not just for Amsterdam. The windmills, the lighthouse, the canal, who don’t want to see all of it. I guess it’s time to think about a trip to the Netherlands.
Yes, true, it also depends on the time you are traveling to Netherlands.
wow this seems an affordable budget for Amsterdam! Me and my boyfriend are thinking of visiting this city for his birthday and we started to look for tour options. I am so happy that I visited your page coz this is better.
You two will have a great time, there.
This is such a neat read for first-timers. Very helpful. I have been to Amsterdam once but did not really have enough time to explore. I am so curious about the Meatless District. Thank you for sharing your itinerary.
Do try that restaurant!
This is a very comprehensive itinerary and absolutely well planned. Loved the details and your trip planning skill. I haven’t been to Netherlands till date. But I am going to refer to your itinerary whenever I plan mine. Good read and quite insightful.
Sure, I am glad.
Would totally agree with this list for a short trip for a first timer. Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Kinderdijk has to be included. A little bit longer then explore towns like Nijmegen and Den Bosch and Den Haag oh and Leiden too. Netherlands is such an amazing country.
I agree to you.
