Glad if they can be helpful to you.
I’ve never heard of full moon parties, so now I’d like to learn more! And I am very curious about Chang Mai…looks like a great getaway. Your photos certainly are awesome!
Glad that you liked them.
I’ve never been interesed in Full Moon parties but I would love to experience Songkran!
Songkran is so much of fun.
That’s a lot of moving around and lots of parties. For me, that sounds perfect! When we were in Koh Phangan, I did the serene quiet beaches and beach side restaurants. I would love to go to a full moon party, but I think that I’m too old now!
No Nicole, trust me, it’s not about age. You would still feel so lively if you ever make your mind to visit Full Moon Party.
I always wanted to try celebrate Songkran and the Full Moon festival. This is one great itinerary, thank you.
Yes, you can get both the fun here.
I have heard about the full moon parties in Thailand. It’s great to get a ready made itinerary from a trusted source.
Yayy Suman, when are you planning for it then?
Sounds like a fair bit of travel is involved – not sure I’d be able to enjoy it if I was hungover from all the parties and having to travel so much… my partying days are well and truly behind me I think ? x
Oh well the day after the party was so full of hangover, we just lazed.
This is a great itinerary. I’ve seen so many videos on the Play Songkran Water Festival. That looks like so much fun. I also think ending the trip with a body massage is an excellent choice 🙂 I had to google how much 18,350 THB was and think that’s a great price for a week trip!
Yes, it aint so expensive, isn’t it?
I can’t get over the cost of traveling in Thailand! It is so cheap. I really need to book a trip there, your itinerary is really helpful for planning!
Yes, it’s inexpensive here.
Your pictures are beautiful and this looks like just a great time. I’ll be adding this to our list of events to attend sometime in the future. Great post and tips.
Glad to know that you liked it.
That looks like an action packed visit! I don’t know that I’d have the energy to do so much. It looks like you had a great time though.
Yes, I had a great time.
Looks like it was one hell of a time! I haven’t been to Thailand in years, but this sure makes me want to go back!
Come back soon, Christopher.
I would love to visit Thailand during the Songkran Water Festival- looks like a lot of fun. Impressed that your total expenses were so low for a 7 day trip.
Yes, Thailand is not so expensive.
I have both Chiang Mai and Koh Pha Ngan in my list of places to visit on my second trip to Thailand. Of course, I will make sure that I am there during the Full Moon Party because that is what Koh Pha Ngan is the most famous for. Not sure I want to be there during Songkran though, it is nice and colourful to watch but I am not a fan of the Indian festival of Holi that much, I like to watch from a distance and not be a part of the event so my guess is, I’ll feel the same during Songkran.
No Medha, you cannot keep yourself dry if you are there in Songkran. Trust me, you would love to enjoy it!
Must have been quite an epic experience Shreya. Was following your updates on FB, when you were attending Songkran, and all I wanted was to be there as well. Reading this post, makes me realise that there’s so much of Thailand that I need to visit and experience.
Sure!
I have never been to a full moon party but I would really like to experience Songkran Water Festival. What a great experience.
You would love it!
I am not sure what a full moon party is, but it looks fun! 18,350 THB sounds like a fortune, so I asked Google to convert it to US dollars and it was only $596. Not a bad amount for such an epic party.
It’s a must visit!
The full moon party at Koh Pha Ngan is super high on our list and hopefully soon we will have a crazy night there. The Songkran festival is another one which too we would love to check out someday. Thanks for sharing this detailed itinerary and expense list.
Glad to know that you liked it.
I haven’t heard of the full moon party or Songkram before. While I am not much of a partier, I am always curious about different cultures and celebrations, and the stories behind them.
Tami, these are really some interesting festivals here.
